About Elina Shakya, MD

Elina Shakya, MD, is a skilled, board-eligible endocrinologist at Endocrine and Psychiatry Center in Katy and Houston, Texas. 

Dr. Shakya earned her medical degree at the Nepal Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Gokarneshwor before relocating to the United States for her residency and fellowship. She studied at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic in Ohio for her residency. For her fellowship, Dr. Shakya worked under skilled physicians and medical professionals at Oshsner/Louisiana State University Health Shreveport. 

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Shakya has practiced as a primary care physician since 2011 and brings her expertise in endocrinology, diabetes care, and metabolism to the patients at Endocrine and Psychiatry Center. 

Dr. Shakya is proficient in English, Nepali, Hindu, and Urdu to better serve her patients. She maintains membership in the Endocrine Society, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
